THE LORE
Eltan, the Duke, is a god of righteous war and militant protection. Unlike the savage gods of bloodlust, Eltan teaches that combat is a craft, that honor has meaning even in violence, and that strength without discipline is chaos. His followers are knights and champions who fight not for conquest but to preserve something worth preserving, and who understand that the highest use of power is its judicious restraint.
THE PALETTE
Bright reds speak to martial passion and the blood of necessary battles. Deep blues add a solemn note, reminding the bearer of war's cost. Orange accents warm the composition with hints of forges where weapons are tempered. Steel-grey metals dominate, cold and reliable, the color of a blade that will not fail. The accent burns deep blue, the contemplative color of duty after the fighting ends.
THE CHRONICLE
...A general knelt before an empty throne, holding the crown of an enemy he had just defeated. His soldiers waited for the order to pillage, to burn, to claim the spoils of conquest. Instead, he rose and placed the crown on the heir's head, a child who would grow to be a better king than his father had been. His own generals stared. When he explained that Eltan honored the victor who chose not to destroy what could instead be preserved, they understood. The god did not celebrate the conquest. He celebrated the wisdom to know when dominion should bend toward mercy....
